Phone Script for Nancy Pelosi

  • SF Office Phone: (415) 556-4862
  • DC Office Phone: (202) 225-4965
Tip: Call the SF office first, but try the DC office if you can’t get through. If you get voicemail, hang up and try a few more times to talk to a real person. Don’t give up!

Short direct messages are most effective.

This call script contains multiple asks, which are bolded.
Hi my name is ________.  I am a constituent of Leader Pelosi, and I am calling from zip code ______.  I am also a member of Indivisible SF.

We call on Leader Pelosi to co-sponsor and vocally support Representative Cohen’s Special Counsel Integrity Act (H.R. 3771), and to encourage their colleagues to do likewise. The investigation by Special Counsel Robert Mueller (into the Russian government’s efforts to interfere in the election, any links or co-ordination between Russia and Trump campaign-linked individuals, and any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation) is once again under grave and imminent threat. Last October, Senator Lindsay Graham (a co-sponser with Senator Cory Booker of the Special Counsel Independence Protection Act - S.1735) told reporters, “I don’t feel an urgent need to pass that law until you show me a reason that Mr. Mueller’s in jeopardy. I don’t think anyone in their right mind at the White House would think about replacing Mr. Mueller.” Now, Mr Mueller’s investigation is in so much urgent peril that Graham himself tweeted that firing Mueller would be the beginning of the end of Trump’s presidency.

Many elected officials have stated publicly that the firing of Robert Mueller would cross a red line, but this may well not be a sufficient deterrent. We need Leader Pelosi all of our representatives to state unequivocally that firing Mueller or Rosenstein, or otherwise closing down or impeding the Mueller investigation, would be clear abuses of power that rise to the level of impeachable offenses.

Should the worst happen and Mueller is fired, more than 4,400 of your San Francisco Bay Area constituents have already committed to immediately rendezvous at Civic Center Plaza, as part of the MoveOn.org/Indivisible Rapid Response plan. We would like Leader Pelosi and all of our representatives to commit to joining our protest if they are in the Bay Area, or joining a sister event in D.C. if Congress is still in session.
